Top Updates from Skema

If you found our blog, that means you’re on our new Skema.ai website. Welcome!

Our goal from the beginning has been to deeply listen to what architects really need, and then apply our special tribal knowledge about Revit and AEC software to develop and scale it.

That’s what we’ve done with Skema AI and SkemaBIM - the Skema Software Suite. The updates in Skema — available now — deliver brand new capabilities for firms.

But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what Jesse Altman, VP Marketing at TVS, wrote about us this week:

This update’s a game changer and makes the platform flexible across virtually any building type with the potential to reduce time spent on certain monotonous tasks by >50% while empowering designers to spend more time making remarkable places... it’s exciting to have a front row seat as we wade into the waters of automation; AI and machine learning. It’s fun to watch designers explore Skema and rapidly develop highly detailed conceptual designs. Tip of the iceberg, IMO.
— Jesse Altman, VP Marketing at TVS

We appreciate the support, and every day we aim to live up to the faith you’ve put in us.

Partnering to Future-Proof the Firm

Our Founding Pioneer Partners — TVS and others — are vital to our success. These forward-thinking firms recognize the transformative power of integrating BIM automation into the conceptual design phase. They’re on a journey to future-proof their business models and practice, and we’re right alongside them to make it happen.

Together we believe the work firms do now will create a sustained competitive advantage over the long term. Those are big words for these times. But, in the words of best-selling author Marshall Goldsmith, “What got you here won’t get you there.”

Meet with Skema at AU2023 and Beyond

Our team is taking a moment to celebrate getting this major update into the hands of customers. And then we’re on to the next thing. Speaking of which, we have a few other big things on our radar. Here’s where to find us.

#AU2023 is just around the corner and we’re looking forward to connecting with our networks. Richard Harpham is speaking on a panel on Monday, 11/13. And seek Richard, Marty Rozmanith, or Kristina Bach out to get a briefing or a demo.

Over the past month or so, our team including CEO Charlie Cichetti have been making the rounds at tech and VC conferences. “Conference Season” is a real thing, with AECtech, AEC+tech, Design Futures Council, Confluence, Shadow Summit, and more.

The value of Skema, as a fast-forward button for the design process, is taking root across the AEC industry.

Save Up to 8 Weeks on Typical Revit Projects

Charettes with architecture firms are where Skema proves its value. Our schedules for these exclusive Q4 charettes is nearly fully subscribed, and here’s why: They are a time machine for firms to accelerate their foray into design automation and the related change management efforts. For the charettes, Pioneer Partner firms produce a brief for the project and invite 3-4 designers to participate. Skema produces the firm-specific catalogs using Revit data and then guides the designers in using Skema. We’ve seen that, by the end of the day, each designer has developed a proposal, or two. It’s very gratifying to see those results. In fact, our claim that Skema saves up to 8 weeks on a project came from our very first charette. And we are getting more granular on just what that looks like. Stay tuned for more from us there.

Our world-class development team continues to enhance the capabilities of the Skema Software Suite. Stay connected with us and we’ll keep you up to date.
