The Charette Edge: A blueprint for fast-track onboarding

Just as we are preparing to release a major update to Skema, we’re seeing a big uptick as more and more firms sign up for our charettes.

More than a training session, these charettes are our “white glove service” to get you and your teams up and running on Skema quickly within your firm’s specific context.

Using a project brief and a Skema Design Catalog of your firm’s select prior projects, we bring together members of your firm – at multiple levels and job functions – to learn how to use Skema and to discuss and discover what changes Skema could initiate in processes and workflows.

Here are the key elements of our Skema Charette service:

  • Product training

Get expert in-person support to speed up how long it takes to be proficient with Skema.

  • Solve your pre-defined brief with Skema

    We’ll tackle it together.

  • Use your Design Catalog
Design Catalogs are our special sauce, and we give you tremendous flexibility and control over the way you make and use them.

  • Develop multiple design options
We guide each participant as they puzzle-piece and morph your Design Catalog units into the new design. Fast forward through the repetitive parts of the design process to get to your model. Use the integrated metrics to track whether your areas, configurations, and unit mixes meet the brief.

  • Export your design solutions to BIM
It only takes a minute. Your BIM model automatically conforms to your office standards, because Skema started with the data from your projects to begin with. From wall types and doors to fixtures and schedules, your standards are already built in.

  • Lessons learned
No learning session is complete without a debrief. With the key stakeholders in the room, this is an ideal way to discuss the implications on your business and chart a path forward.

By the time the day ends, you’re on your way. But you’re not alone.

Our team of experts, extended by our Knowledge Base of video-based learning resources, are committed to helping you become proficient with Skema. And we can assist as you identify your best real-world projects for Skema.

Get on our “dance card” for a Charette. Fill out this form and we’ll contact you to get started.
